Curt once again has better things to do than discuss cycling, but Tyler and Chris do their best covering the World Tour and NorCal races – and apparently this breaks Tyler’s heart – literally.  Are we blaming Curt for Tyler’s health problems?  Perhaps.  With the World Tour races, we discuss Amstel Gold, Fleche’ Wallonne, Tro Bro Leon, Tour of the Alps and a short preview of LBL (Liege-Bastogne-Liege). 

With the NorCal races we recap the Winchester Circuit Race, Auburn Crit, Kingsburg Crit and Visalia Crit.  We also discuss an inquiry from the Auburn Crit promoter/director on whether stacking these two events (Winchester/Auburn) is too difficult and calendar competition as well. 

We go over our winners and losers on the NorCal and World Tour scene and of course a short discussion on Lance and his settlement with the US Government and Floyd Landis.  Lastly we break some news regarding the Tour of California and the B2W_Podcast's plans for covering the race.  Also, hate mail has come to the the podcast.  We look forward to your love and hate mail as well.

Today we have a special edition of dual interviews with race promoter's Shaun Bagley and Jeff Prinz.  Shaun has revived the Michelob Ultra Sequoia Cycling Classic and Jeff is a stalwart promoter in Southern California putting on the CBR series.  Both Shaun and Jeff have a long cycling background and we all discuss our interactions with legend crit racer Roberto Gaggioli.  Each has a different form of the word "hooked" when it comes to Gaggioli and bike racing.  Either way, find out more about these two men and their races with the links below; show up and support the races.

This week Curt fails to show up, but Chris and Tyler forge ahead to give you the cycling insights you’ve been accustomed to hearing.  We talk about Valverde’s never aging fitness, Gent Wevelgem where Sagan made Viviani cry, and then turn our attention to previewing the Tour of Flanders – a very Flemish race with a Dutch name.

Next we turn our attention to NorCal with a breakdown from the Tempus Fugit ITT where Chris spoke to double category winner Zach Morvant of the Dolce Vita Freewheel team.  Nate Dunn’s coaching tip comes in handy this week as we insert it with discussions of what happens when your power meter goes dead before a time trial.  We also give props to TMBE at Santa Cruz Crit for taking the top spots in three of the major categories.

7 days ago today the 2018 edition of the Chico Stage Race (CSR) came to a close, and today, celebrating that 1-week anniversary we release our CSR Wrapup Podcast. It's been almost a week since the Chico Stage race kicked off and we are still pulling out interviews from the weekend.  Here is another three-part interview with THE METEOR // INTELLIGENTSIA women's racing team.  We spoke with the team just prior to the final crit as they had their work cut out for them defending the green sprinters jersey.  First up is team manager/rider BrittLee Bowman, then we speak to GC contender Daphne Karagianis (3:51 mark) followed by the rider with all the pressure, Jessica Mundy with the sprint lead. The team defended the jersey well giving Jessica the overall sprint win and they also went 3rd (Harriet Owen) and 4th (Jessica Mundy) in the Crit as well.
